Everyone must have heard of the Emirates Airlines which is an UAE airline based in Dubai. With its 3,300 weekly departures and almost 150 destinations in 78 countries, Emirates (airline) is the largest in the Middle East. This carrier has a cargo division as well, called Emirates SkyCargo, as well as 4 subsidiaries. This carrier started operations the same year it was founded - 1985.

The Emirates airline stands out mainly with the high quality of service, but there are also other important aspects not many people pay attention to. For instance, its fleet is mainly wide-bodied and manufactured by Boeing and Airbus. Emirates owns the world’s second largest fleet of Airbus planes. Passengers have 219 planes at their disposal while 14 crafts are used for cargo. Emirates also owns a single narrow body plane but it used for Emirates Executive charters. All passengers should know that the fleet is renewed every 6 years.

Sports lovers must have noticed the name Emirates on a number of occasions during various competitions, or on the outfits of those participating in them. This happens because Emirates sponsors various championships and tournaments across various sports: cricket, sailing, horse racing, and tennis, are just a few of them.

Those who fly Emirates more than any other carrier are eligible to membership in the frequent flier program. The program has 4 tiers, and it used by almost 8.5 million travelers. Additionally, Emirates has various partnerships with other carriers from around the world. Usually those who fly the partner airlines are eligible to both collect and redeem miles in the Emirates Skywards program.

Those who fly first class or business class have the possibility of receiving a private chauffeur for the transfer from the airport to the hotel. The service is available only in some select cities.
